#VIBECHECK
University Commons and Courtyard residents now have a new option!
Through our pilot program #VIBECHECK, you can complete your Owl Chats directly in
the Housing Portal.
All University Commons and University Courtyard residents are required to complete their Owl Chats between Sunday, September 14 and Sunday, October 12.

How It Works:
- Log in to the Housing Portal.
- Select “#VIBECHECK” in the top menu bar.
- Complete the form and share how things are going.
- Hit submit, and you’re all set.
If you have questions, please visit the Marietta Housing Office (R10) during normal business hours.
Residential Safety & Housing and Residence Life Guest Policy
BE SAFE
All housing communities are protected by 24-hour video surveillance. Below are some precautions you can follow to help keep our communities safe for everyone:
- Be alert and take responsibility for the safety of your community.
- Do not allow strangers into your room/unit or community. Be sure to check that no one is following behind you (i.e. tailgating when entering buildings, propping open community doors, etc.).
- Always ensure your entryways are working effectively and notify RAs or CCs if you notice any failing equipment or security breaches.
- Report any suspicious persons or activities immediately, including those of your peers or roommates.
GUEST POLICY
Residents may have guests of any gender expression visit their room/unit, as long as the other residents sharing the space agree. Guests may include other KSU students (both residential and non-residential) or people who are not students. An overnight guest is anyone who stays in the room/unit after 3 AM.
Cohabitation, or staying with someone who isn’t assigned to your room/unit, is not allowed. of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes the following behaviors/situations:
- Staying in a resident’s room/unit for more than three nights in one week (even if the nights aren’t in a row).
- Staying in a resident’s room frequently.

Counseling & Psychological Services
Counseling and Psychological Services aims to help students develop skills to manage emotions, navigate relationships and address mental wellness concerns, including psychiatric medication evaluation and treatment.

The Emergency Assistance Program provides emergency financial assistance to ALL degree seeking KSU students to help overcome unforeseen hardships that may hinder their successful academic progress.

Our Undergraduate Academic Advisors are here to assist you with planning your course schedule, reviewing major requirements and offering guidance on academic success strategies. They aim to help you thrive academically during your time at KSU.

Campus Awareness, Resource & Empowerment (CARE) Services’ priority is to provide access to food, temporary housing and other supportive services for fostering students to realize a healthy, stable and dignified life academically and professionally.

The Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery (CYAAR) supports and encourages recovery and wellness by providing recovery-based programs, a peer recovery community and education to help those impacted by addiction.

SAFE Center specializes in working with individuals who experience domestic/dating violence, sexual assault and stalking. SAFE Center staff are highly trained in providing trauma-informed advocacy support, medical care, counseling, support groups and workshops.

Kennesaw State University's Department of Public Safety and University Police is committed to creating a safe campus environment. Available 24/7, they assist with both emergency and non-emergency matters.
