Robotics in Mobility

The Robotics in Mobility research track, led by Assistant Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering Dr. Lingfeng Tao and comprising 12 faculty members from the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology and the College of Computing and Software Engineering, identified two priority projects that address pressing societal and clinical needs:

Robotics in Mobility Project 1

Intelligent Amphibious Environmental Sampling Robot to safeguard researchers and the public by automating biohazard sampling in flooded environments.

 

Robotics in Mobility Project 2

Multi-Functional Smart Indoor Navigation Wheelchair to enable safe, intelligent, and autonomous indoor mobility while supporting rehabilitation and daily activities.
