Summer Semester Housing Options & Application

The Summer 2026 Housing Application will open on Monday, March 23.

Students must be enrolled as a full-time student (6 credit hours) for summer classes to be eligible for summer housing. The cost of summer housing will be $1,450* for the duration of the summer term. If you are interested in applying, please visit the Housing Portal.

Please note students currently living in Academic Year and Summer communities (Austin Residence Complex, University Columns, University Commons, and University Courtyard) do not need to apply for summer housing.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, no application fee is required for a summer application.
  • No, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate specific roommate requests.
  • Summer Move-In will be from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM on Friday, May 22, 2026. Please indicate in the Summer 2025 Housing Application if you are taking 8-week or 10-week courses so Housing can take this into account when scheduling your Move-In time. If you have a special request regarding your summer Move-In time, please contact Housing and Residence Life at ksuhousing@kennesaw.edu.
  • Yes, the deadline to apply for summer housing is Friday, April 10.
  • No, you do not need to purchase a Meal Plan over the summer if you are a residential student. We do encourage it, but it is not required. Please check the Meal Plan website for more information on available plans.

  • Yes. Fall/Spring & Spring permits are not valid for summer parking. If you plan to bring a vehicle to campus, you must purchase a summer parking permit through the Parking Portal.

  • We will begin offering room assignments the week of April 27, 2026 and will continue on a rolling basis.
  • No, payment plans are not offered for summer housing.
  • KSU’s payment deadline for Summer 2026 is to be determined.
  • The Move-Out deadline for summer housing is Friday, July 31, by 12:00 PM.
