Supporting smarter warehouse operations through predictive analytics and real‑world data science.
As a Data Scientist Intern at Americold, I analyze warehouse operations data to help predict late appointments and forecast labor needs. I also build dashboards that translate those insights into actionable tools for managers and leaders. My work blends data analysis, predictive modeling, and reporting to support more efficient facility operations.
KSU strengthened both my foundational and applied data science skills. The Master’s program taught me how to translate academic knowledge into real industry work, and it helped me build a strong professional network that ultimately led me to this internship.
Adeoye Famodun has been my most impactful mentor. I’ve worked with him as a Graduate Professional Assistant since my first semester, and he’s guided me on everything from work ethic to handling pressure and delivering results. He’s played a major role in my personal and professional growth.

KSU’s environment is genuinely supportive for anyone willing to make the most of it. With dedicated professors, mentors, and career coaches, all I needed to bring was curiosity, an open mind, and the drive to succeed.
One of my most impactful moments was presenting at Fall 2025 Analytics Day during my first semester. My classmates and I shared a credit card fraud detection project using machine learning, and presenting to an audience with varied backgrounds taught me how to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely—an essential skill for any data scientist.
Be curious, take risks, and do the things you’ve been hesitant to do. While someone else is busy perfecting their plan, someone who started with an imperfect one is already ahead. Take a leap of faith on yourself and make the most of every opportunity.
