The Basic Four of Accessibility
KSU has identified four basic areas of accessibility that we should all employ:
1. Document Structure
- Semantic (heading) structure – How-to video
- List styles – How-to video
- Tables – How-to video
- Text color contrast – How-to video
- Descriptive links – How-to video
2. Alternative Text
- Text alternative for images, charts, graphs, etc. – How-to video
- No images of text - How-to video coming
3. Media Accessibility
- Transcripts of audio recordings – How-to video coming
- Closed captions of video with timed audio – How-to video coming
- Audio descriptions for video where content is communicated only visually – How-to video coming
4. Accessible Applications
- Ensuring third-party applications and content are compliant
- Accessibility statements – How-to video coming
- Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) – How-to video coming
