Tools to Preserve Research

Research generates data that needs to move fast. UITS provides access to advanced, high-capacity networking infrastructure designed specifically for research and education. Whether you're transferring large datasets between institutions, collaborating with national research partners, or accessing remote scientific instruments, KSU's research networks are built to keep up.

Internet2

Since 2023, KSU has been connected to Internet2, a nonprofit consortium of universities, government agencies, and industry partners focused on next-generation networking. KSU uses Southern Crossroads (SoX) for peering.
