AI Governance Committee

Kennesaw State University’s AI Governance Committee provides university-wide oversight for the responsible, ethical, and secure use of artificial intelligence across institutional contexts. The committee supports innovation in teaching, learning, research, service, administration, and operations while helping ensure that AI-enabled tools align with KSU’s expectations for data privacy, security, academic integrity, transparency, accessibility, human oversight, and regulatory compliance. Through review of AI-enabled tool use cases, maintenance of institutional guidance, and publication of an inventory of approved tools and acceptable uses, the committee helps KSU foster responsible innovation while safeguarding institutional values and stakeholder trust.

Have an AI use case for review? Start here!

1. Sign into Curriculog using your KSO SSO credentials. Curriculog is the university's curriculum management software where the AI use case review process is housed.

2. If you are unable to sign in with your KSU credentials, or if you do not see the "+ New Proposal" button (shown below) on your home screen, please contact Curriculum@kennesaw.edu for assistance with your account.

3. Navigate to the "Resources" area on this webpage. Use the "AI Use Case Review Process SOP" document as a guide for filling out the "Originator" section of the "AI Governance- Use Case Review" form, launching your proposal when completed.

4. Continue to monitor the status of your proposal as it advances through the workflow.

5. Respond to any feedback, questions, or concerns raised by the AI Governance Committee during their review of your proposal. In the workflow, this occurs at the "Originator Acknowledgement/Feedback" step.

Please reach out to Curriculum@kennesaw.edu or jkile1@kennesaw.edu if you have questions or need any assistance.
