Campus Hub Website Transition

In partnership with UITS, Strategic Communications and Marketing is advancing the multi-phase transition to the new Campus Hub (campus.kennesaw.edu) environment. The Campus Hub helps our campus departments share information and resources more effectively.

Phase 1 of the port is now complete, and Phase 2—College Ports—is underway. We have updated the group assignments and transition details in our FAQs so you can track our port progress from our current schedule.

This move improves consistency across our website and helps our users find what they need more quickly. Your website will stay fully visible and searchable during the entirety of this transition. Your department will receive notice before, during, and after your port is complete to help ensure a smooth process.

Upcoming Website Changes

What is Campus Hub?

What is Campus Hub (campus.kennesaw.edu)?

The new Campus Hub site (campus.kennesaw.edu) is a resource hub separate from www.kennesaw.edu that is dedicated to the needs of our campus community audiences. Here, all KSU students, faculty, and staff can easily access essential tools, services, and important campus information on one website.
What is the purpose of this initiative?

The goal is to streamline the website, giving it a more professional feel. This will help streamline access to the most relevant information for various audience groups.
When will the transition take place?

Phase 1 began on July 1, 2025 and was completed in November. Phase 2 has already started and will go through early next year.
Who is affected by this move?

All site owners using Omni CMS are affected. Departments and Colleges in all phases of this transition will be contacted before, during, and after the port.
How do I access the new campus.kennesaw site?

Access will remain unchanged. Use your web browser as usual to reach the new site.
Will my bookmarks or saved links still work?

Yes. Redirects will remain in place for at least one year, but we recommend updating your bookmarks.
How do I find my department’s page?

A new main navigation, enhanced search, and a comprehensive A–Z Index will help you find departmental pages.
How do I request access to restricted areas?

Access is limited to approved users. To request access, contact Strategic Communications.
What should I do if I can’t access the page I used to?

Please reach out to the StratComm Web Team to confirm your level of access and request access as needed.
What are the key dates for the transition?

Your department or college will be contacted with the details of your site’s move.
Is there a migration status page?

Yes! This is the website status page for the duration of this website project. Please check back routinely for more updates as the project progresses.
Who can access campus.kennesaw.edu?

The Campus Hub won't require login credentials, allowing all audiences to access content when needed.
What’s the difference in the new layout?

The website now has two distinct domains—one focused on serving the current campus community and the other designed for prospective students, families, and the broader public. Each features unique headers to clearly distinguish between the two complete with their own navigation. The main body content will remain consistent across both.

Sites Transitioning

Should I check my website content for anything before the port?

Yes. Once you receive an email notifying you that your website is next for the transition, instructions will be included to check for unpublished changes on your pages. Keep in mind that unpublished pages or draft changes in Omni will go live during the port.
Will my website change?

No, your site will be ported exactly as it exists today. The only changes will involve the web address, and the organization of content intended for specific audiences.
What happens to outdated or archived content?

If you need a copy of your old site, you can request a backup of those files.
Who is responsible for updating our department’s content?

Site owners will continue to manage their website content. The only change is that new page creation and edits on kennesaw.edu site will be managed by Strategic Communications.
How do I request a content update or correction?

Please submit a service ticket or email service@kennesaw.edu with details of your request.
Will my login credentials change?

 No. They will stay the same.
When will my site be transitioned over?

You can find your unit in the dropdown above assigned to group numbers. Only 90 sites across kennesaw.edu have been moved to Campus Hub. Collegeswill also move so that information for current students, faculty, and staff will reside in the Campus Hub environment.
Will there be any downtime during the migration?

No downtime is expected, but there will be a temporary "freeze" period when site updates cannot be made during the port. All dates will be communicated ahead of the port.
Will I have to do any training?

While you should always stay current on your Omni training, Campus Hub will be hosted in Omni CMS, leveraging existing design and web infrastructure. This minimizes manual migration and maintains familiar processes for content editors.
Is the design changing?

There have been slight design changes in the main navigation for both sites. Additionally, a new universal footer has been introduced for added consistency.
What is the schedule?
