Compensation Toolkits

The compensation toolkits below provide information and steps to help navigate the different processes outside the normal compensation program. These toolkits are designed to provide employees with a starting point and include collaboration with multiple departments across the University, such as Payroll, Procurement, Legal, and Faculty Affairs.

FLSA This toolkit provides information for managers of staff that will transition to nonexempt. 
Independent Contractors Use this toolkit to determine whether an individual qualifies as an independent contractor or an employee.  
Temporary Assignments and Supplemental Pay Process  Use this too\lkit when temporary assignments and supplemental pay are necessary to ensure business continuity and address staffing needs for special projects.
