What is PASS?

PASS Stands for Peer Assisted Study Sessions

PASS is an expanded, research-grounded academic support program that is built on the Supplemental Instruction (SI) model. At its core, PASS offers weekly peer-led group study sessions facilitated by PASS Leaders.

PASS Leaders are students who have already succeeded in the course and bring expertise and strong facilitation skills to these sessions. Our PASS Leaders consist of SI Leaders that have at least two semesters of service with strong attendance records and have had a demonstrated impact on reducing DFW rates.

PASS Leaders choose weekly session topics in collaboration with the course coordinator of each course.
