Academic Coaching and Support
Academic Coaching and Support (ACS) specializes in freshman and sophomore student
success. We offer a comprehensive range of services that promote academic, personal,
and professional growth. ACS provides academic success coaching, peer mentoring, first-gen
student support, HOPE scholar support, cohort-based focused learning programs, and
interactive academic enrichment. Our goal is to help students thrive academically

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a program that offers FREE weekly study sessions
for students enrolled in targeted courses. At KSU, we have over 150 SI Leaders hosting
weekly sessions on both campuses and online.

To help new students start strong at KSU, incoming first year students are provided
the opportunity to participate in Starting Blocks.
Rather than selecting just individual classes, students choose a block of courses,
allowing them to take multiple courses with other students with similar long-term
interests and goals.
