Kennesaw State University's Department of Parent and Family Programs has announced the members of the 2026-27 Parent and Family Advisory Council (PFAC), a group of highly engaged supporters dedicated to contributing to the university's mission and enhancing the experience of KSU families.
The council provides guidance, insight, and feedback to Parent and Family Programs while serving as ambassadors for the university. Members also assist in recruiting families to join the Parent and Family Giving Society and help oversee the Parent and Family Grant Program.
Members serve one-year terms with the option to serve up to four years or until their student graduates. In addition to their advisory role, council members support succession planning by identifying and recruiting future members and serving as resources for KSU families.
The 2026-27 PFAC members are:

Auvette Clarke:
Auvette Clarke of Snellville, Georgia, is an accounting professional who manages her own tax clients. She is the mother of three children, including a Kennesaw State student and a son entering middle school this fall. Clarke also serves on the student council at her son’s elementary school. She is passionate about supporting student success and ensuring families have a voice in education.

Precious Jones:
Precious Jones is the mother of an adult son and a sophomore at Kennesaw State. She serves as an elementary school administrator and is dedicated to supporting students, teachers, and families. Jones emphasizes personal growth and positivity, guided by her belief in striving each day to grow and succeed.

Michelle Cooper Kelly:
Michelle Cooper Kelly is a former member of the Marietta City Council, where she served from 2014 to 2021, including two terms as mayor pro tem. She has held numerous leadership roles in government, community organizations and education, including service with the Georgia Municipal Association, Cobb Travel and Tourism Board, Cobb Community Foundation and Atlanta Regional Commission.
Kelly is a small business owner with more than 25 years of experience in regulatory compliance and has worked with Fortune 100 companies such as Coca-Cola, Gatorade and Anheuser-Busch InBev. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in occupational safety and health and environmental management. A longtime community advocate, she has received multiple honors for her service, including recognition from the Georgia House of Representatives. Her youngest daughter attends KSU and is a member of the women’s lacrosse team.

Rehan Overton-McNeil:
Rehan Overton-McNeil is a licensed real estate professional with Rawls Realty in Savannah, Georgia, with more than eight years of experience in residential real estate. She has received multiple awards, including Top Sales Agent of the Year, Broker’s Choice Award, and Top Producer Award.
She holds degrees in communications and gerontology and has been married for 32 years. One of her daughters is a KSU graduate, and another attends Mercer University. Overton-McNeil is active in her community through her church, sorority membership, and service on the Effingham County Board of Elections.

Robert Phillips Jr.:
Robert Phillips Jr. holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human resources and has more than 15 years of experience in payroll and workforce administration. He is committed to operational excellence and supporting the success of others. As a KSU parent, he is dedicated to strengthening the partnership between families and the university.

Elbie Reed:
Originally from Louisiana, Ebbie Reed has spent the past 15 years in Georgia raising her two daughters. She looks forward to contributing her perspective and experience to support KSU students and their families.

Rochelle Tynes:
Rochelle Tynes has worked in education for 20 years and currently serves as an assistant principal in Marietta. She is the parent of four past, current, and future KSU students and is a strong advocate for the university’s honors program. Tynes previously served on the council and is excited to continue supporting KSU families in the coming year.
