A Vision Realized: The Enduring Legacy of Emily Bourne Grigsby and Athos Menaboni

The creation of the Emily Bourne Grigsby Gallery and the Athos Menaboni Gallery brings to fruition a transformative legacy bequest from the late Emily Bourne Grigsby, finalized through the dedicated stewardship of her estate’s executor, Alice Kuzniak. Together with $1 million in contributions from the Emily Bourne Grigsby estate and foundational support for the Athos Menaboni Art Fund from donors including June Boykin Tindall, this gift ensures that both historical mastery and future artistic generation will flourish under one roof.

KSU Alumnus Michael Kalish Returns to Atlanta After 35 Years to Unveil "Reel Portraits" Exhibition

Kalish graduated from KSU in 1996, studying art and majoring in psychology while playing outfield for the Owls baseball team. “Launching this collection in Atlanta is really a dream for me. To be able to unveil this collection in a city that holds so many memories for me, to be surrounded by my family, old friends, people I went to school with, guys I played baseball with, and my early collectors, is really a dream.”

Where Reality Gives Way to Imagination: "Branches Etched Across the Sky" Comes to KSU

What if the place where we go to escape reality is also the place where we finally confront it? That question lives at the heart of Branches Etched Across the Sky, a magical, deeply theatrical work by playwright Addae Moon presented by the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University next month. Directed by Assistant Professor of Theatre Marlon Burnley, the production invites audiences into a world somewhere between the one we recognize and the one we create in our minds — a liminal space where memory, grief, imagination and reality begin to blur.

$500,000 Gift from Dr. Audrey Morgan honors KSU Provost - Dr. Ivan Pulinkala

A transformative $500,000 gift from longtime Kennesaw State University philanthropist Dr. Audrey Morgan will establish the largest scholarship in KSU’s Department of Dance in honor of its founder, Dr. Ivan Pulinkala. The endowment celebrates the leadership and legacy of Pulinkala, who served as Dean of the Geer College of the Arts, prior to becoming KSU’s Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Emmet Cohen Brings Jazz's Living Tradition to the Bailey School of Music

On Saturday, Oct. 3, Cohen will bring that conversation to Kennesaw State University’s Bailey Performance Center for an ArtsKSU professional series presentation in Morgan Concert Hall. He will also spend time with KSU students through masterclasses, creating an opportunity for young musicians to encounter not simply a celebrated performer, but an artist deeply invested in how jazz is learned, shared and carried forward.

Order. Disruption. Possibility. Zuckerman Museum of Art Opens Collective Geometries Exhibition

This fall, Kennesaw State University’s Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art, part of the School of Art and Design and the broader Geer College of the Arts, opens Collective Geometries. Running from September 1 through December 4, this free public exhibition transforms traditional views of geometry into a vibrant, multi-layered exploration of memory, identity and spatial perception.
