A Vision Realized: The Enduring Legacy of Emily Bourne Grigsby and Athos Menaboni

The creation of the Emily Bourne Grigsby Gallery and the Athos Menaboni Gallery brings to fruition a transformative legacy bequest from the late Emily Bourne Grigsby, finalized through the dedicated stewardship of her estate’s executor, Alice Kuzniak. Together with $1 million in contributions from the Emily Bourne Grigsby estate and foundational support for the Athos Menaboni Art Fund from donors including June Boykin Tindall, this gift ensures that both historical mastery and future artistic generation will flourish under one roof.

KSU Alumnus Michael Kalish Returns to Atlanta After 35 Years to Unveil "Reel Portraits" Exhibition

Kalish graduated from KSU in 1996, studying art and majoring in psychology while playing outfield for the Owls baseball team. “Launching this collection in Atlanta is really a dream for me. To be able to unveil this collection in a city that holds so many memories for me, to be surrounded by my family, old friends, people I went to school with, guys I played baseball with, and my early collectors, is really a dream.”

Order. Disruption. Possibility. Zuckerman Museum of Art Opens Collective Geometries Exhibition

This fall, Kennesaw State University’s Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art, part of the School of Art and Design and the broader Geer College of the Arts, opens Collective Geometries. Running from September 1 through December 4, this free public exhibition transforms traditional views of geometry into a vibrant, multi-layered exploration of memory, identity and spatial perception.

ArtsKSU 2026-27 Season Launches with World Premiers

The 2026-27 season features more than 100 performances, exhibitions and special events led by internationally recognized guest artists, acclaimed faculty and the next generation of creative leaders. Audiences can experience Broadway's Into the Woods, the Department of Theatre & Performance Studies' milestone 30th Anniversary Season, world premiere dance works created through the Pomare-Conner Residency and other features from the Department of Dance, internationally celebrated guest artists including Emmet Cohen, Third Coast Percussion, Boston Brass and RUBBERBAND, inspiring exhibitions at the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art, and performances from the nationally recognized Bailey School of Music.

KSU Faculty Member Co-Authors a New Global History of Animation

“We wanted to think about animation history as something truly global,” said Jeremy Speed-Schwartz, Assistant Professor in the School of Art and Design at Kennesaw State University's Robert S. Geer Family College of the Arts. “Much of what people think they know about animation has been shaped by the companies that survived to tell their own stories. We wanted to broaden that conversation to include the artists, industries, and cultures that have too often been overlooked.”

KSU Animation Students Bring Seneca Artist's Work to Life in Immersive Installation

It marks a remarkable partnership between institutions nearly 900 miles apart and offers KSU students a rare opportunity to apply their skills in a professional, culturally significant setting.
