Open House and Portfolio Review Event

You are invited to attend the School of Art and Design's Open House and Portfolio Reviews! 

The Open House and Portfolio Review offers prospective students the opportunity to learn more about our degrees and concentrations. You will also receive information on the School of Art and Design's entrance portfolio, and you will have the chance to have your work reviewed by our faculty members!

Prospective students are invited to bring their drawings, small paintings, digital artwork, or photographs of their three-dimensional work for review from the School of Art and Design faculty. This opportunity is especially helpful for students planning to submit their entrance portfolio for acceptance into the School of Art and Design.

Reasons to attend SOAAD's Open House and Portfolio Review

Entrance Portfolio

The School of Art & Design at Kennesaw State University admits students in the Fall (August) and Spring (January) semesters each year.

The entrance portfolio requires the following: 

  • Best technical artwork
  • Best imaginative artwork
  • Best example of how you sketch out (develop) an idea for art
  • A "wildcard" example of your work
  • A 200-word artist statement

  • The Open Houses are designed for undergraduate students. The Masters of Art in Art and Design prospective students should attend a Virtual Information Session for more information about the graduate program.
