Title IX/Sexual Misconduct Policy
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 was the first comprehensive federal law
to prohibit sex discrimination against students and employees of educational institutions.
Educational institutions that receive federal funding are required under Title IX
to provide equal opportunities for members of both sexes. Title IX states, in pertinent
part:
No person shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied
benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity
receiving federal financial assistance.
KSU uses the term sexual misconduct to address allegations and violations of Title IX.
KSU follows the USG's Sexual Misconduct Policy. For more information visit: Board of Regents Policy Manual: 6.7 Sexual Misconduct Policy
