CARPE offers a variety of educational opportunities to the campus community. Individuals
can sign up for scheduled workshops and trainings, or you can request a presentation
for your class, department, or RSO.

Recovery Ally Training is a program designed for KSU faculty, staff, and students.
Participants will learn effective ways to support students who may be struggling with
substances or are in recovery from substance use disorder.

Designed to educate students in making informed choices about drugs and alcohol, this
course is taught on referral from multiple sources; including Student Conduct & Academic
Integrity, Department of Fraternity & Sorority Life, Housing & Residence Life, and
Department of Athletics.

This presentation focused on alcohol and other drug (AOD) prevention delivered by student peer educators in classroom settings.

The Center for Addiction Recovery, Prevention & Education (CARPE) is looking for student volunteers to participate in Alcohol and Other Drug prevention and education initiatives across campus! CARPE Alliance members will provide a service to the campus community by educating other students through CARPE programming and collaborating on events. CARPE Alliance members will receive Recovery Ally training as well as training in representing CARPE across campus. Allies can receive volunteer hours through GivePulse. CARPE Allies will meet once a month after training to plan upcoming events and programs.

Each person who attends & completes training is provided a free Naloxone kit. At the
end of this training the participants will be able to:
- Identify potential warning signs of an overdose
- Operate and administer Naloxone in the event of an overdose
- Identify how Naloxone works
- Understand the Georgia Medical Amnesty Law
Training is free for KSU students, faculty, and staff. Each person who attends and
completes training is provided a free Naloxone kit.
