Wellbeing@KSU departments offers an array of curated programming and presentations. Don't see anything that applies to your group? Choose the "OTHER" option to tell us what you are looking for, and one of our Wellbeing@KSU staff member will reach out to assist.  

All requests need to be submitted three weeks in advance. Custom presentation requests should be submitted four weeks in advance. For additional questions, please email wellbeing@kennesaw.edu.

Wellbeing@KSU Presentations and Requests

  • Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Info Session (30 - 45 minutes) - This presentation is your one stop shop for all things Counseling and Psychological Services at KSU! This workshop will inform participants of the resources, points of contact, and expectations for support provided by Counseling and Psychological Services.  Topics include a comprehensive list of our services, description of confidentiality, how to make an appointment, and much more! 

    Asking for a Friend (30-45 minutes) - This presentation is designed to help individuals understand and talk about mental health with others. Topics addressed include warning signs, how to approach talking about mental health, ways to be supportive of a friend or loved one experiencing mental health challenges, and resources for seeking help.  

    Change and Resilience (30-45 minutes) - This presentation explores the dynamics of adapting to challenges and transformations in professional contexts. It highlights strategies for building resilience and embracing change as opportunities for growth. It aims to empower audiences with the tools needed to navigate uncertainty and thrive in changing environments.  

    Mental Health 101 (30-45 minutes) - This presentation is focused on identifying the components of mental health, how we utilize them, how they impact our everyday lives, and a few good mental health practices that can be implemented. 

    Self-Care (30-45 minutes) - This presentation informs participants of the meaning and importance of self-care. It covers 8 types of self-care, signals for needing care, and ways to exercise care for oneself. Information regarding CPS is also provided.  

    Signs, Symptoms, & Ways to Help (30-45 minutes) - This workshop informs parents and family of ways to understand and discuss mental health with students. Topics include warning signs, conversation guides, and resources for seeking help. 

  • CARE Services Info Session (20-30 minutes) - This presentation offers an overview of CARE Services and the support available to students experiencing food and housing insecurities. It highlights key resources such as the KSU food pantry, emergency assistance for urgent needs, and connections to campus and community partners. Additionally, it explains how students can access these services and outlines the role of Resource Navigators in guiding students toward effective solutions.

  • Peer Education - Alcohol and Other Drug Education (50-minutes) - This presentation focused on alcohol and other drug (AOD) prevention delivered by student peer educators in classroom settings. 
  • Stress Management (45 minutes) - Interactive presentation that introduces students to stress management, showing the difference between helpful and harmful stress, common symptoms, and how sleep and habits affect well-being. It highlights barriers to academic success, offers practical coping strategies, and points to campus resources for support. 

    Sexual Health (45 minutes) - This presentation provides students with an engaging, comprehensive overview of sexual health—including consent, contraception, STI prevention, and safer‑sex practices—aimed at empowering them to make informed, responsible decisions about their well‑being. 

    Nutrition - Covers practical application of general nutrition education. Students will participate in a large group activity involving different sources of nutrition information. Budgeting, meal planning, and cooking resources are provided. Presentation focuses on intuitive eating and mindfulness, not fad diets or calorie counting. Other topics may be added upon request and at the discretion of the dietitian. (i.e. Energy drink consumption) Each presentation takes about 1 hour including time for Q & A. 

    Cooking Demonstration - Let our Cooking Demo Instructor craft a custom cooking demonstration for your group. Please be advised there is a cost involved for this program. 

  • Sports and Recreation Info Session - Request a customized presentation from our department to share programs, resources, and opportunities with your team or group. 

    Experiential Group Program - The purpose of the Experiential Group Program is to enable individuals through experiential learning in an effort to contribute to a holistic educational experience. Outdoor Adventures offers a variety of customized experiential group programs. We will tailor your program to fit the goals of your group and provide exceptional opportunities with lasting impact.  

    Fitness on the Fly - Fitness on the Fly is a personalized fitness experience for members of the KSU Community including teams, clubs, departments, and classes.   

    Facility Tour - Explore our facilities with a guided 30-minute tour designed for campus community members interested in learning about available spaces and how they can be utilized for programs, events, or activities.

  • CARE Service, CYAAR, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Health Promotion and Wellness assist with interview requests. 

    Due to the demand for interview requests, CAPS now offers Monthly Panel Interview Panel, a virtual opportunity for students to ask questions of counselors in our offices. Please view our events for upcoming dates. If the panel dates do not meet your schedule, a student may submit a request to meet with a counselor to conduct a virtual or in-person interview to complete a course assignment.
