Global Ambassador Program

Welcome to KSU’s Global Ambassador (GA) program, which is designed to promote a globally-focused education at Kennesaw State University (KSU).  Each member of this select group of undergraduate, graduate, and international students serves as a knowledgeable and passionate representative of KSU’s global experiences, promoting and supporting the efforts of the Office of Global Education in a variety of ways:

  • Serving as official representatives of the Office of Global Education
  • Promoting the advantages of education abroad
  • Building a community of students with a passion for global education at KSU
  • Planning, promoting, and supporting Global Education programs and events
  • Making a significant contribution to KSU’s international culture, by mentoring and advising students who will be studying abroad.

For the past three years, students leaders who have travelled the globe have been selected to serve as Global Ambassadors at KSU. Each year they have the opportunity to share their experiences with Owl Nation, while further developing their leadership skills. It is a privilege to have these students in the Office of Global Education and to see them soar!

Message from the 2026-2027 Global Ambassador (GA) Team Leader

Jenni Garcia headshot.

Jennifer Garcia is an Honors College student majoring in Accounting in the Coles College of Business. She is also pursuing two minors in Japanese and Advertising & Digital Marketing.

My name is Jenni Garcia and I am the Global Ambassador Team Leader for the 2026-2027 academic year!

Participating in an education abroad program greatly impacted my life. Before leaving, I didn’t know what to expect about life in Tokyo, Japan. Over time I discovered that beyond enjoying the culture and visiting popular destinations, the real value came from the challenges and lessons of living in a new country. During my year abroad I learned how to live independently, navigate Japan’s complex transportation systems, and communicate in an entirely different language. As the child of immigrant parents, this experience also gave me a deeper appreciation for what they experienced when they first arrived in the United States. Starting fresh in a new country can feel overwhelming. I, along with the Global Ambassadors, are here to support you as you pursue global experiences both on campus and abroad.

I look forward to connecting with you and hearing about your future journeys!
