During Winter Break, while the university remains open, advising offices may offer appointments only, drop-ins only, or a mix of both. Advising Office locations may also be changed to consolidate staffing needs.

Please check your advising office’s availability and location before planning your visit.

Kennesaw State University will have regular operating hours on the following dates:

  • December 15th-24th
  • January 2nd

Kennesaw State University will be closed on through the following dates for the Winter Break:

  • December 25th - January 1st

        1. When in Microsoft Teams, you should see a tab/icon for “Teams.”  Click it and when on the Teams page, it will show you any teams you are a member of.  In the top right corner, you will see “Join or create team” button.
        2. Please click it use the “Join a team with a code” option.
          1. THE TEAM CODE IS:  9aaxsqh
        3. It should add you to our COTA Virtual Advising Drop-Ins Team
        4. When you enter the Team, you will notice a “General” chat page.
        5. We are using this chat page as our sign-in sheet.  
          1. ONLY CHAT ONE TIME PER VISIT.
          2. Chat the name of your major.
        6. An advisor will send you an individual chat when you are next in line and ask if you’d like to continue typing back and forth or start a video call.
        7. If for any reason you need to leave before being helped, please reply to your own chat with “I will come back later.”
        8. If you do not respond to the advisor individual chat in 3 minutes, the advisor will need to move on to the next student and you will have to put yourself back into the advising queue with a new chat
