CAPS Monthly Interview Panels
Join us for the Monthly Interview Panels hosted by Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) where students have the unique opportunity to engage with a panel of experienced mental health professionals. This interactive event is designed to meet the needs and expectations of student interview projects assigned by professors. Bring your questions and gain insights directly from experts in the field of mental health, while also enhancing your knowledge for academic success. Whether you're working on a class assignment or exploring a future career path, this panel review is the perfect platform to expand your understanding and connect with industry professionals.
Peer Counseling Informational Session
Welcome!! Are you interested in giving back to fellow KSU students? The Peer Counseling program is comprised of undergraduate students that provide support to their peers in a variety of capacities. Peer Counselors assist the Division of Student Affairs You Matter Campaign, Counseling and Psychological Services, and academic departments by providing outreach through wellbeing events, peer-to-peer support, and educational self-care presentations throughout the campus wide community. Would you like to become a Peer Counselor? All students are welcome to attend this informational session and meet our current Peer Counselors. The components of the program, a day in the life of a peer counselor, a tour of the Well Nest, and a Q/A session will be covered. We look forward to having you in the Well Nest and coffee will be provided!! We can't wait to meet you!
Managing Anxiety & Depression
the opportunity to interact with counselors and other students experiencing similar struggles. Not a therapy group but designed to begin providing students with knowledge in the healing process, mood awareness, and an opportunity to start practicing coping skills on your own. We aim to help you understand: Causes and experiences of anxiety and depression Connection between stress and anxiety/depression New approaches to managing anxiety and depression How the mind and body respond to mental distress The workshop will be hosted virtually on Microsoft Teams. Students who RSVP thru OwlLife will receive a meeting invitation on the day of the workshop.
