[Visuals: A montage shows an Honors graduate crossing the stage, students studying and writing in journals, and faculty members teaching in classrooms.]
Narrator:
Today, many students graduate from college with high levels of student loan debt. Others must limit or delay their education in an attempt to control costs. The Honors College at KSU is in great need of additional scholarship support for Honors students. Will you please consider a donation to a deserving Honors student today?[Background music continues softly.]

Eric Nzuki, Mechanical Engineering major:
A scholarship would really allow me, in my senior year, to focus more on academics. Given the intensity of the mechanical engineering program, there have been semesters where I’ve had to work multiple jobs. A scholarship would really be a weight off my back and allow me to participate more in clubs and activities, with the potential of being president of the Society for Manufacturing Engineers. It would also allow me to focus on my senior design project.[On-screen text: “Laura Chelaru, Nursing major.”]
Laura Chelaru, Nursing major:
I had to quit my job so that I could focus more on nursing because it is really competitive and there’s a lot to keep up with. Having an Honors scholarship—any scholarship—would allow me to thrive with what I do have and really focus on my work.[On-screen text: “Malia Whitley-Jernigan, Nursing major.”]
Malia Whitley-Jernigan, Nursing major:
I have two jobs right now, so the only times I really have to study are when I’m in school, which is three times a week. An Honors scholarship would really benefit me by allowing me to quit one or both of my jobs, so I could focus on my studies and pay for textbooks and other essential expenses.[Background music swells.]
