Program Description

100% Online | 3 Courses | 9 Credit Hours

The Dyslexia Endorsement & Certificate is offered through the Inclusive Education Department in the Bagwell College of Education. This three-course sequence prepares candidates to understand the underlying characteristics of dyslexia, assess students’ needs, and implement evidence-based supports for students with dyslexia in educational settings. For Georgia-certified educators, completion leads to the GaPSC Dyslexia Endorsement. The endorsement is also embedded within the fully online M.A.T. and M.Ed. in Special Education, where students complete the 9 credit-hour sequence as part of their graduate program.

Applicants may also complete the same three courses through the Dyslexia Certificate track, which is open to individuals who are not seeking Georgia certification. In this pathway, the certificate serves as Kennesaw State University transcript recognition only and does not lead to state endorsement. Courses are offered on a rotating basis, and students may begin in either the summer or fall semester.

A valid, clear, renewable Georgia teaching certificate is required only for candidates seeking the endorsement.
