Submission Requirements
The application for this award is now hosted on the InfoReady platform and requires
the following information:

Department
Year you started working at KSU
Application Title (Full Name - Mentor Award Application)
Statement of Interest (1000 words max)
Past experiences mentoring undergraduate researchers at KSU (e.g., number of students,
number of years mentoring students)
Examples of how you have supported undergraduate researchers (e.g., conference presentations,
publications, student success after graduation)
Examples of how your mentoring supports diverse students or diverse content
Examples of how you have exceeded expectations as a mentor – (what makes you uniquely qualified for this award?)
Current curriculum vita (10 pages max) highlighting work with undergraduate researchers
This will be a file upload section
Supporting letters (up to 3) from current/former students or colleagues in a position to speak to the individual’s mentoring abilities
A minimum of one (1) letter writer should be a current or former undergraduate researcher
Letters do not need to be collected in advance. A request will be auto-routed to the
individuals designated in your application.
Please ensure email addresses are spelled correctly before submitting.
Designated individuals will have until October 16, 2026 at 11:59pm to submit their
completed letters
Submissions that do not adhere to the requirements or are incomplete will not be reviewed.
