CYPHR Research Tracks

This core track ensures that all research is grounded in human values, needs, and capabilities. We study human cognition, behavior, and interaction to design Al systems that are intuitive, trustworthy, adaptive, and equitable. Research spans human state understanding, Al collaboration, decision support, and human-Al teaming.

We design and study immersive extended reality (R) environments that blend the physical and digital worlds. Our research advances presence, interaction, visualization, and simulation to enable training, collaboration, telepresence, healthcare, education, and entertainment across distances.

We develop intelligent autonomous systems that perceive, reason, plan, and act in dynamic real-world environments. Our work includes robotics, autonomous vehicles, swarm systems, edge intelligence, and cyber-physical integration for mission-critical applications.

We advance the science and practice of trustworthy Al. Research focuses on transparency, explainability, fairness, accountability, privacy, and human oversight-ensuring that intelligent systems are responsible, reliable, and aligned with human values.

We ensure the safety, security, and resilience of autonomous and cyber-physical systems in adversarial and uncertain environments. Our research spans cybersecurity, secure communications, fault tolerance, risk assessment, and resilient system design.
