Communications Officer
Responsible for receiving emergency, non-emergency and administrative calls and notifying and/or dispatching appropriate emergency responders. Performs inquiries and searches of multiple local, state, and national databases to provide information to law enforcement personnel. Serves as a Campus Security Authority as defined by Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
Police Corporal - Detective
Conducts initial and follow-up investigations of criminal incidents; interviews persons in connection with criminal incidents and student conduct violations, including victims, witness, and suspects; secures crime scenes, collects, establishes chain of custody, and preserves physical evidence; provides investigative guidance to Uniform Patrol as needed; conducts surveillance and develops leads; and effectively relates with the public and representatives of other law enforcement agencies in coordinating activities and resolving problems.
