  • KSU maintains official snapshots of academic programs for the purpose of accreditation. Each snapshot reflects a specific catalog year. For additional information on KSU's academic programs, please visit the Undergraduate or Graduate Catalog.

  • Kennesaw State tracks key metrics to measure student success, including retention and graduation rates, as well as the number of graduate and doctoral degrees conferred. These indicators are vital in assessing institutional performance and aligning with the university's mission of fostering student achievement. These metrics help KSU set goals for continuous improvement and ensure that students are supported throughout their academic journey.

  • Kennesaw State University defines the requirements for faculty qualifications that align with the SACSCOC Standards and Faculty Credentials Guidelines. Department Chairs should use these resources to inform hiring decisions and course assignments.  

  • Kennesaw State ensures compliance with SACSCOC by reporting substantive changes.

One indicator of the quality of academic degree programs is the review and approval of the program by Specialty Program Associations through the program accreditation process. Many degree programs at KSU are accredited by program accreditors, such as AACSB International, ABET, ACCE, CCNE, CSWE, CSHSE, NAAB, NASA, NASM, NAST, and NASPAA. Kennesaw State University completed the SACSCOC fifth-year interim review in 2025 and is scheduled for a full reaffirmation review in 2029.

    Success is more about what you do while you are in college and less about what college you attend. A recent study showed that the most successful students are those who participate in undergraduate experiences, such as internships, undergraduate research, and service learning. These engaged learning opportunities allow students to take what they learn in the classroom and apply it to the real world. Through internships, undergraduate research, and service-learning, students also gain unparalleled opportunities to hone their critical thinking and communication skills. More importantly, these opportunities pay dividends for students well beyond graduation.

    At Kennesaw State, we believe that doing is the key to learning, which is why we are focused on increasing the number of engaged learning opportunities and giving more students the chance to learn by doing. We developed our Quality Enhancement Plan, It's About Engagement, to advance KSU’s mission of student success by focusing on the dynamic nature of engaged learning in each of the academic colleges and the university, overall.
