What is the Kennesaw Excellence Society?

The Kennesaw Excellence Society (KES) is a community of student leaders committed to making a positive impact at Kennesaw State University. Through leadership and service, KES celebrates the university's spirit, pride, and traditions while encouraging others to grow, succeed, and discover their unique place in the campus community.

KES Position Responsibilities and Benefits

Are you an engaged and enthusiastic Owl looking for real opportunities to serve, inspire, and lead at KSU? Are you ready to help bring energy, connection, and spirit to both campuses? 

If you’ve seen the Kennesaw Excellence Society (KES) at events like College Colors Day, Week of Welcome, Presidential Scrappy Hours, or the KES Zone at football games, then you already know the difference KES makes across campus life.  

Now it’s your turn to experience leadership in action. 

KES is seeking undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a minimum 3.0 GPA who want to make a positive impact at KSU and help fellow students grow, succeed, and find their place in the campus community. 

As a member of KES, you will:

  • Serve as influential student representatives for the Division of Student Affairs (DSA)
  • Build meaningful connections with campus partners and student organizations
  • Gain hands on experience supporting engagement and service initiatives
  • Develop confidence leading and supporting peers, and celebrating KSU’s spirit, pride, and traditions
  • Strengthen communication and teamwork skills in high visibility roles
  • Earn a $2,000 stipend per semester
  • Represent KSU in exclusive KES apparel at Signature Events like Scrappy Hour and Day of Service

  • Academic résumé (required) for qualification review
  • If selected as a finalist, participation in both virtual and in person interviews
