Welcome to Wellstar Advising!

Academic advisors from Wellstar's Advising Center help students explore their degree options, plan coursework, and stay on track for graduation.

We offer advising to students in the following majors:

  • Exercise Science
  • Health & Physical Activity Leadership
  • Human Services
  • Integrated Health Science
  • Nursing
  • Public Health
  • Sport Management

We have included information below about our advising appointment and drop-in availability. Students can meet with us in person or virtually through Microsoft Teams.

Appointments & Drop-Ins

Appointments

Students can schedule a 30-minute appointment with an advisor. This option is best when you are looking to plan for future semesters, review your progress toward graduation, or address advising-related holds.

Please make sure to be on time for your appointment as advisors are scheduled with back-to-back appointments.  If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will be marked as a "no-show" and will need to reschedule your appointment. Appointments can be in-person or virtual.

Drop-In Hours

During drop-in hours students can speak with an advisor without scheduling an appointment. Students are seen on a first come first serve basis and meet with the next available advisor. These meetings are usually no more than 15 minutes long and can be subject to a wait time.  Drop-ins can be in-person or virtual.

  • Drop by Prillaman Health Sciences Building, Room #1003 on the Kennesaw campus during drop-in hours.
  • Follow these instructions to join the waiting list for a virtual drop-in:

    1. Login to Microsoft Teams

    • Download the Microsoft Teams app and login using the same login information as your KSU email.
    • Click here to access the Wellstar Advising Drop-Ins Team

    2. Sign-In to See an Advisor

    • You must reply to the Advising post in the Teams channel with your major to check-in for virtual drop-in advising. Please read all instructions in the Advising post first.
    • If for any reason you need to leave before being helped, please delete your reply to the Teams post.

    3. How Will the Advisor Start My Meeting?

    • An advisor will call you in Teams to start your drop-in advising meeting. If you do not answer after two calls, you will be considered a no show and will need to put yourself back into the advising queue with a new reply to the Teams post.

Please Note: Students should only check-in during designated drop-in advising hours. To ensure that our office can serve everyone effectively, any check-in's submitted outside of designated drop-in hours will be deleted.
