Interdisciplinary Studies Events
Listed below are the upcoming events for the Interdisciplinary Studies Department at Kennesaw State University.

Women’s History Month Creative Writing Event
Get inspired by some of history's best women writers—and maybe a few living ones! Gather to read selections of your favorite works by women, be introduced to important works you may not know, and create your own writing inspired by what you read and discuss with your fellow students. All are welcome!
"Be True" Chalk-Art Competition
Creatives, designers, and illustrators! This M-campus event will consist of display tables with books, periodicals, and artifacts for passers-by, and a Chalk-Art Competition with individuals & teams designing and drawing original "Be True"-themed images by the globe in a temporary art display.
"First Gen" in Flight
Have questions only “first-gen” faculty can answer? Like free food? Then you won’t want to miss this! This event is designed to provide student-success strategies for the large number of “First Generation” students on the Marietta campus: be they “first-gen” college students, “first-gen” Americans, or both. KSU faculty, Dr. Letizia Guglgielmo and Dr. Sergio Figueiredo, will talk about their 2019 edited collection, Immigrant Scholars in Rhetoric, Composition, and Communication: Memoirs of a First Generation (2019) and host a Q&A with students.
