Adobe Express

All students have access to Adobe Express for FREE!  Here's how to get started:

  • Visit Adobe.com to sign up for the basic subscription. Additionally, Adobe is currently offering a six-month free subscription to Adobe Express Premium; be sure to review all terms and details.

Adobe Creative Suite

A monthly subscription to Adobe CC is required for some creative courses (scroll down to the table below for more information).

The student rate for Adobe CC is $30 a month. Please pay special attention to the monthly subscription terms and agreement when subscribing. Subscribe here: https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud.html. To receive the student rate, you must use your KSU email address when subscribing.

Does Adobe CC run on any laptop when downloaded? Unfortuantely no! Very old laptops and those with limited memory cannot support the large size of the Adobe apps. The following minimum specifications for personal computers (desktops and laptops) are recommended by Adobe:

  • Operating system: Intel i7 processor macOS v10.13 or later
    or Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) versions 1809 or 1903
  • RAM: 8GB RAM for 2K/HD and 16GB RAM for 4K
  • Graphics processor: 2GB of GPU VRAM
  • Hard drive free space: 8GB
  • Monitor resolution: 1280 x 800
  • Internet connection

The full Adobe Creative Cloud suite is also installed on campus computers in both campus Libraries. Check the KSU Library website for hours and locations.

Saving your work: If you are using a KSU lab computer, you will need to save your work to a thumb drive or external hard drive with roughly 128GB of storage.

Need Tech Support? KSU does not offer tech support for Adobe software. If you need tech support or troubleshooting pertaining to a specific Adobe program, please reach out to Adobe directly.
