• You can make a positive impact on students' GPAs! Students earned a higher GPA after they got alerted and met with an academic advisor.
• You can communicate good effort!  Students who receive a High Five will be encouraged and applauded for their efforts.
• You can promote student retention! Alerting students can encourage them to use academic supports - like academic Advising, SI, SMART Center, Writing Center, or academic success coaches.
• Data from previous semesters show that students who receive an alert early are more likely to continue their education when they use outside classroom support.

 Early Alert deadlines are around mid-September and late January.

• Around week 3 of the semester, an email is sent out to faculty teaching one of the courses listed above containing a link to the flagged class roster(s) in EAB Navigate.  Faculty need to provide only one alert per student. Multiple students can be alerted at once.
• A reminder will be sent to remind faculty about the deadline for submitting Early Alerts.
• EAB Navigate is open all semester to submit an alert for any student in any KSU course so that support offices are notified of needed support later in the semester.
