Research and Innovation Symposia
The Coles College of Business hosts two signature symposia that bring together faculty,
students, academic partners, industry professionals, and community leaders around
important and emerging areas of research and practice.
These events provide opportunities to share faculty and student work, connect academic
research with real-world challenges, encourage interdisciplinary discussion, and build
new partnerships and research collaborations.
Homeland Security Research Symposium
The Homeland Security Research Symposium highlights academic and practice-oriented
work addressing current and emerging homeland security challenges. The event features
contributions from researchers, industry and government experts, and students, with
an emphasis on advancing discussion, sharing new ideas, and strengthening collaboration
across disciplines and organizations.

The AI Symposium explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping teaching, research,
student learning, organizational practice, and the future of work. Through presentations,
panels, workshops, and student innovation activities, the symposium creates a collaborative
setting for examining both the opportunities and responsibilities associated with
AI adoption.
