MSTML Curriculum

The Master of Science in Technology Management and Leadership (MSTML) curriculum is designed to help you move into leadership roles in technology-driven organizations. Rather than focusing on technical depth alone, the program emphasizes how to guide decisions, apply AI and data, and lead across teams.

How the MSTML Curriculum Is Designed

You’ll build skills progressively through a set of core courses that focus on leadership, decision-making, and real-world applications.

Throughout the program, you will:

  • Connect business strategy with technology decisions
  • Apply AI and data in practical business contexts
  • Develop the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Build confidence in guiding technology-driven initiatives
  • Plan your courses ahead of time! Our Tentative Course Schedule allows you to plan out your master's degree in information systems into the semesters that work best for you.

Build Your AI Playbook

A key part of the MSTML curriculum is developing your own AI playbook — a practical framework you can use to guide how AI is applied in your organization.

This is built across multiple courses:

  • IS 7500 introduces AI technologies and how they are used in business applications
  • IS 7700 focuses on strategy and policy for leading AI-driven transformation
  • IS 7800 develops leadership approaches for managing AI-enabled organizations

Together, these courses help you move from understanding AI to applying it strategically.

Apply What You Learn

You won’t just study concepts. You’ll apply them.

The MSTML program uses a cloud-based platform that will connect yous students with real-world industry projects. Through this experience, you’ll:

  • Work with real data and client systems
  • Apply course concepts to real business challenges
  • Collaborate in a professional, project-based environment

This approach helps you build practical experience while earning course credit.

You do not need deep technical experience to succeed.
