The Khawaja Saeed Charity Golf Tournament, presented by the KSU Fintech Programs at the Coles College of Business, brings together alumni, industry partners, and community supporters for a day of golf, networking, and impact. Proceeds from the tournament support KSU Fintech Scholarships and KSU CARE Services, helping students succeed academically and personally.

Format: Regular Scramble

A Regular Scramble aka American Scramble is the standard team golf format that Florida Scramble is a variation of. Here's how it works:

Basic Setup

Teams of 2, 3, or 4 players — 4-player teams are the most common ("four-man scramble").
Any mix of skill levels works well, since the team only counts its best shot each time.

How Play Works

  • Every player tees off on each hole.
  • The team picks the best-placed drive and marks its spot.
  • All players then play their next shot from that same spot — everyone hits, no one sits out (this is the key difference from Florida Scramble).
  • The best of those second shots is selected, and again every player plays their next shot from there.
  • This repeats — tee shot, approach, chip, putt — until the ball is holed.
  • One gross score per hole is recorded for the team, based on whichever ball actually goes in.
