Center For Excellence

As an Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) “Center For Excellence”, students can earn an Internal Audit Academic Alliance Certificate for completing a specified set of courses. In the undergraduate program, students who complete the following five courses listed below, will be awarded the IIA’s Academic Alliance Certificate.

  1. Accounting Information Systems (ACCT 3300)
  2. Auditing (ACCT 4150)
  3. Internal Auditing (ACCT 4152)
  4. Accounting Data Analytics (ACCT 4550)
  5. Fraud and Forensic Accounting (ACCT 4800)

Graduate students in the MAcc who complete the Audit/Advisory track take the requisite coursework to earn the IIA’s Academic Alliance Certificate. If you are interested in pursuing internal audit education at the graduate level, apply to the School of Accountancy Master of Accounting Program at Coles College of Business. If accepted to the program, choose the Audit/Advisory Specialization. See the Graduate Catalog for more information below.
