Paper Weaving Workshop with Helen Hiebert

Helen Hiebert is a Colorado artist who constructs installations, sculptures, artists’ books and works in paper using handmade paper as her primary medium. She teaches, lectures and exhibits her work internationally and online, and is the author of several how-to books about papermaking and papercrafts. In this workshop, participants will explore several paper weaving techniques, creating a lantern and a notebook. Additionally, participants will also craft a unique hinge and stitch a simple binding. The workshop will provide skills to continue weaving and creating more books and lanterns using a variety of papers.
