Following the success of our 2026 Summer Jazz Camp, the Bailey School of Music is excited to offer this exciting experience again in the summer of 2027. Led by Professor Sam Skelton, Director of Jazz Studies at Kennesaw State University, this weeklong, all-day camp is designed for current high school musicians who want to deepen their understanding of jazz, strengthen their technique, and experience college-level music study.

Participants will rehearse and perform in both large ensembles and small combos, develop improvisation and musicianship skills, and receive personalized instruction from KSU's jazz faculty. Whether students are preparing for college auditions, seeking leadership opportunities within their school programs, or simply looking to grow as jazz musicians, Summer Jazz Camp provides a challenging and supportive environment where they can learn, collaborate, and build lasting connections with fellow musicians.

Concert Band Camp | June 20-25, 2027

The Bailey School of Music's Concert Band Camp offers an immersive week of music-making for current high school musicians looking to strengthen their performance skills and experience college-level band study. Participants will work closely with KSU faculty and outstanding music educators while exploring a diverse repertoire in a supportive and challenging environment.

Throughout the week, students will rehearse and perform in a concert band setting, develop musicianship and ensemble skills, and gain valuable insights into rehearsal techniques, tone production, and musical interpretation. Whether preparing for all-state auditions, seeking to grow as a section leader, or simply looking for an inspiring summer musical experience, Concert Band Camp provides an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and build lasting connections with fellow musicians.
