The 2nd Century Invictus Fund - Alpha Delta Nu Scholarship will receive a total of $43,000 over the next five years, creating a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding for students at KSU.
Fostering Leadership and Stability
The endowed scholarship will provide financial support to high-achieving student leaders within the Alpha Delta Nu chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. at KSU who demonstrate both academic excellence (minimum 3.0 GPA) and financial need.
Chesley McNeil, Board Chairman of 2nd CIF and adjunct professor at KSU, emphasized the significance of the partnership:
"This is a watershed moment for both organizations. The 2nd Century Invictus Fund has already invested over $315,000 in our community's future through scholarships and STEM events. By partnering with Chi Gamma Gamma Chapter to establish this endowed scholarship at KSU, we are moving beyond annual giving to create a permanent structure that will uplift leaders in perpetuity. This is the ultimate investment in Cobb County's next generation."
A Permanent Investment in KSU Students
The endowment will be managed by the Kennesaw State University Foundation, Inc. The initial $28,000 gift will be made by the end of 2025, immediately establishing the named fund, with additional annual supplements committed to ensuring the fund's long-term growth.
“We are honored to work alongside organizations that share our vision for student success. By establishing this permanent scholarship fund, the 2nd Century Invictus Fund and Chi Gamma Gamma Chapter are leaving a legacy that will impact generations of KSU students and strengthen our community for years to come,” said Dr. Eric E. Arneson, Vice President of Student Affairs at KSU.
The establishment of the 2nd Century Invictus Fund - Alpha Delta Nu Scholarship will provide much-needed financial stability, allowing students to focus fully on their academic pursuits and leadership development within the Division of Student Affairs.
