Dean's Scholars Council

The College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) invites Kennesaw State University undergraduate science and mathematics majors to apply for the Dean’s Scholars Council! 


The Dean’s Scholar Council brings together CSM students from various backgrounds to help college leadership strengthen the student experience and develop a supportive environment as students work toward completing their degree programs. Selected scholars will collaborate with other Dean’s Scholars, CSM majors, and college leadership to help enhance our programs, support student success initiatives, and build a welcoming community for all students.

Role and Responsibilities 

As a Dean’s Scholar, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Meet with CSM leadership to discuss how the college can better support students.
  • Support research and student success events throughout the year.
  • Help foster a welcoming and supportive community among CSM majors.
  • Serve as a CSM ambassador to current and prospective students.
  • Offer a student perspective on committees, panels, and student success retreats.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help improve student experiences and course changes.

Requirements

  • Broad range of life experiences related to navigating college
  • Must have at least 1 full academic year remaining to graduate
  • Minimum GPA must be 2.75
  • Clear explanation of goals following graduation
