Conductor and educator steps into permanent role after transformative interim leadership
Kennesaw State University’s Bailey School of Music has announced the appointment of Ryan Fellman as Director of Choral Activities, following his service in the interim role over the past two years.

As director of choral activities, Fellman conducts the KSU Chamber Singers, KSU Chorale and KSU Parliament (formerly Men’s Ensemble) and teaches conducting.
“I’m honored to continue serving as Director of Choral Activities after my time in the interim role,” Fellman said. “The past two years at KSU have been rewarding in ways I could never have imagined. This institution is growing rapidly and is deeply committed to its impact, poised to play a transformative role in shaping the choral craft. I'm incredibly grateful to the students and faculty who have made this such a special place to begin my career in academia, and I look forward to continuing the important work of elevating our artistic profile and connecting with the vibrant choral community across Georgia. Go Owls!”
Fellman holds degrees from Michigan State University, Ithaca College, and Concordia College. He has twice been selected as a conducting fellow for the Chorus America Choral-Orchestral Conducting Academy, and his scholarly interests focus on the presentation, performance, and preservation of Latin American choral music.
