In its 30th year, KSU Theatre and Performance Studies marks a milestone of creative inquiry, collaboration and storytelling that continues to expand outward in unexpected ways. Over three decades, the department has grown into a living ecosystem of artists, scholars and makers — where stories are not only told, but continually reimagined.

Stories here are never singular. They grow, fracture, echo and return in unexpected forms. Each production becomes part of an interconnected landscape where narratives branch outward into memory, identity, imagination and lived experience.

Across performance, design and collaborative creation, artists trace the fragile and powerful ties between personal history and collective understanding. From intimate explorations of family lineage to bold reinterpretations of philosophical and historical narratives, the season invites audiences into worlds where certainty is rare — and meaning is made in real time.

Here, theatre is not simply something to watch. It is a living system of stories, rooted in the past, responsive to the present and constantly reaching toward new possibilities
